It is an incredibly fast route with speeds of up to 320kph. The TGV service (opened in July 2017) connects Bordeaux St Jean to Paris Montparnasse and take just 2hrs. The toll roads are direct and generally free from traffic.Ĭalais is a 10hr30 drive to us and passes through some lovely parts of France, so perfect to split across a few days. UK ferries bring you to St Malo, Caen Dieppe and Cherbourg with Brittany Ferries and DFDS dominating the routes. Limoges airport (LIG) is 2hr30 drive and is well connected across the UK, Spain and Italy. Toulouse airport (TLS) is 2hr15 drive and has a busy flight service including London Heathrow and London Gatwick plus many destinations across France and Europe. Bordeaux airport (BOD) is 1hr35 drive and has a busy flight service including London Gatwick, London Luton and London Stansted plus many destinations across France and Europe including Amsterdam, Belfast, Berlin, Brussels, Cologne, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, Glasgow, Hamburg, Oslo, Zürich and Vienna.
